ZenniHome May, 2022 Update

We at ZenniHome thank you for your continued interest and want to update you with a few things we’ve been getting a lot questions on.

MORTGAGES

We are excited to announce that Intercap Lending will be our exclusive lending partner. We also have a dedicated loan officer (Dave Johnson) who knows all about the ZenniHome models and will make your lending process a breeze. 

PERMITTING

ZenniHome has partnered with Permits.com to make your permit process as seamless as possible. Permits.com is an online permit expediter. They simplify how homeowners and contractors get construction-related building permits at over 19,000 municipalities in the United States. Having a company like Permits.com who knows exactly how ZenniHomes are constructed will surely be a tremendous help to our customers. 

INSPECTIONS

One of the things we’ve been diligently working on at ZenniHome is getting our models certified at the state level to expedite the permitting process. 39 U.S. states and many municipalities allow third party inspectors to certify factory-built homes. We have an on-site inspector from Intertek who will not only inspect quality control, but also certify each unit out of our factory for compliance with state and local building regulations.

SNOW LOAD

One question we get asked a lot is pertaining to snow load. Our current plans have the snow load listed at only 20 pounds per square foot. After discussing this with our structural engineer, we believe we can make a small adjustment to our plans to achieve a 70 pounds per square foot rating, which should suffice most markets. While this has not been approved yet, we do hope to provide updated information very soon.
